Test Tips
✔ Don’t change your answers unless you misread the question.
Research shows your first instinct is correct most of the time. Only switch an answer if you clearly misunderstood the question.
✔ Flag questions you aren’t ready to answer.
Don’t sink 3 minutes into a single question. Mark it, move on, and come back with fresh eyes.
✔ Read the full question before looking at the answers.
Students miss points by jumping to choices too early.
✔ Watch for EXCEPT questions.
The exam LOVES these. Slow down and circle/underline “NOT,” “EXCEPT,” or “FALSE.”
✔ Break long questions into pieces.
Find the “subject,” then the “action,” then the “twist.”
✔ Eliminate obvious wrong answers first.
Often you only need to choose between two choices — not four.
✔ Expect at least 5–10 questions you’ve never seen before.
Don’t panic. Use logic, not memory.
✔ Treat every question as its own universe.
Don’t let one question affect the next — they’re not tricking you with patterns.
